Blower Assembly Service and Removal
Vertical Configuration Units
For the vertical configuration, the blower assembly is designed to
slide out to facilitate access and servicing of the blower/motor as-
sembly. If removal of the blower assembly is required, such as
when installation constraints prevent the use of the slide-out fea-
ture, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the motor power wires from the motor terminals
before removing the motor from the unit.
2. Shut off the main power supply to the unit and apply lock-
out/tag-out procedures.
3. Remove the three screws positioned above the motor. See
Fig. 51.
4. Drop down and slide off the welded pins situated on the
opposite side from the motor. See Fig. 51.
Ensure all steps are followed for safe and efficient removal of the
blower assembly.

CAUTION
Before attempting to remove fan motors or motor mounts,
place a piece of plywood over evaporator coils to prevent coil
damage.

Pivot Out and Remove
Remove Upper Panel
Open Access Door
Disconnect Electrical Power and
Lift Off Access Panel
