Starting Up / Shut Down
When you finish working, turn off the power. You shut off the power from the
editing screen, not by pressing the POWER button on the unit.

Failure to follow these steps may result in the loss of editing data. Use caution.

Click the "
Shutdown" button.
At the upper left of the editing screen, click the "Shutdown" button.

Confirm the action.
A window appears, prompting you to confirm shutdown. If you're ready to shut
down, click "Shutdown".

Save your project.
When you have not saved the sequence by overwriting the previous data, a dialog
box asking if you want to save the sequence is displayed. To go ahead and save it,
click "Save." After a few moments, the power to the DV-7DL PRO is switched off.

To quit without saving, click "Don't save." To continue working without quitting, click
"Cancel".

The message "It's now safe to turn off the computer" may be displayed, but this does not
indicate a problem.
This message means you can now safely turn off the computer. Clicking "Kill
Application" powers down the DV-7DL PRO.

Turn off the power to the peripheral devices.
Turn off the display, television monitor, and any other peripheral equipment.

When turning the DV-7DL PRO on or off, first lower the volume of the connected speakers
as far as possible.

If you need to turn off the power completely, first turn off the POWER switch, then unplug
the power cord from the power outlet. Refer to
Connection diagram
(p. 23)

Shutting Down
If you're using a removable hard disk, never try to remove the hard disk right away
after turning off the power. Doing so may cause malfunction or, in the worst case,
corruption of the edited sequence. After power-down, wait for at least ten seconds
before you remove the hard disk.
