If the battery charger indicates a full charge, remove the device or the battery
alone from the battery charger within a reasonably short time. Continuing to
charge the battery for longer than necessary could lead to a reduction in
battery performance and life.
3. PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
Installing the battery
1. With the electrical contacts (three copper-coloured segments) facing
the back of the device, position the upper edge of the battery, ensuring
the teeth are aligned with the matching grooves, in the back part of the
device, facing upwards.
2. Push the bottom part of the battery against the back of the device.
3. Holding the battery pressed against the device, push the retaining tab
located on the bottom edge of the device towards the battery until it
can be heard clicking into place.
The battery can be secured applying moderate force to the parts involved. If
excessive force is required to position the components, the operation may
need to be repeated ensuring all the parts are properly aligned. Do not use
excessive force to secure the battery in place as doing so may damage the
device or the battery itself.
Removing the battery
1) Lift the release tab located at the bottom of the back of the battery and
recognisable by the word “OPEN”. Doing so will free the retaining tab.
2) This procedure frees the battery, which can then be removed by lifting
it from the bottom.
