BASIC OPERATIONS
The product is equipped with a squelch circuit, which
allows the background noise typical of FM mode communi-
cation to be silenced. This silencing circuit could obscure
certain particularly weak signals, especially if coming from
large distances.
To allow the reception of these signals, see the chapter
"Monitor function". If there are no communications on the
channel, the radio will be completely silent, as above.
The possible presence of brush motors, radio or television
transmitters or other sources of radioelectric interference in
the vicinity could generate disturbances perceivable by the
speaker: this situation is in line with the nature of the
product and does not constitute malfunction or failure.
ADVANCED OPERATIONS
Transmission
To transmit, place the device 5 cm away from the face,
press the PTT button (fig. Page 11 n. 9) and speak with a
normal voice tone. The signal will be transmitted on the
selected channel, while the LED
indicator (fig. Page 11 n. 3) will
light up red and the following
figure will appear on the display:
When communication is complete, release the PTT button.
The transceiver immediately switches to reception and
reproduces any communications made by other operators
on the same channel from the loudspeaker, provided that it
is within the range of the device. During transmission,
reception is inhibited. It is advisable not to exceed the
minute of consecutive transmission, since the device may
overheat and the duration of the battery charge could be
significantly reduced.
Shutdown
At the end of use, you can turn off the device by pressing
the power button / selecting channel (fig. Page 11 n. 2) for
three seconds.
The device confirms the shutdown by saying the word
"Goodbye" and an indication will appear briefly on the
display.
Monitor Function
Fig. pag. 11 button 8 – The device is specifically designed
to silence the background noises typical of FM transmis-
sion, which are somewhat annoying in the absence of
communication in progress.
The background noise silencing circuit (squelch) could
make the reception of communications of particularly weak
intensity partial and difficult, both because they come from
a considerable distance, and because they are emitted by
low power devices. In order to make these communications
audible, it is possible to exclude the squelch, opening the
reception to all the signals that the device is able to receive
on the selected channel.
