Subsequent Scheps Omni Channel instances will include the scanned VST3 plugins, so you don’t need to rescan.
You will, however, need to rescan when you add or change VST3 plugins. If there is not a menu item in the Plugin
menu for VST3 plugins, then you didn’t scan for VST3 plugins, or none are present on the host computer.
Scan Single Plugin lets you browse for a specific VST3
plugin and add it to your plugins list. Use this when you
have installed plugins in a non-standard file location, or
when you want to scan only a few of your VST3 plugins.
Clear Caches and Rescan rescans your entire library of
VST3 plugins. This also clears the list of plugins that are
in the plugins folder and have already been scanned.
Set VST3 Plugins Folder sets the folder where your VST3 plugins are stored: either in the default folder or in a user-
defined location.
Sort by… View VST3 plugins list by vendor or by category.
To manage VST3 plugins, click the Toolbar Menu button on right side of the WaveSystem
Toolbar (circled red). Go to the VST3 submenu and choose from the options.
Scan Plugins scans the host computer for all VST3 plugins. Once this scan is complete, there is
no need to rescan later, even in new sessions or on another DAW. Use this, too, to update your
list of VST3 plugins. Only the added plugins will be scanned, so this procedure is quick.
Note
Scheps Omni Channel supports most VST3
plugins, but it does not support VST plugins.
