Insert Plugin Slot
You can add one plugin to the channel strip to provide additional, specific processing. This allows you to, for instance, add
a second EQ plugin so you can have one EQ before and one after dynamics processing, or double compress a signal.
To insert a plugin, click the plus (+) sign at the top of the insert slot (circled here in yellow), and
select a plugin from the menu. All Waves plugins that are installed and activated will be shown in
the Plugins menu.
Using VST3 Plugins
You can also use third-party VST3 plugins, which will appear at the bottom of the menu. These
plugins can be anywhere on the host computer, so you must scan for VST3 plugins before you
can use them. Scanned VST3 plugins appear at the bottom of the Plugins menu (circled red).
The first time you open Scheps Omni Channel, you will see a prompt that offers to scan for VST3
plugins. Click “Scan” to scan the host drive and link the VST3 plugins. This adds them to the
Plugins menu. If you prefer not to scan immediately, or you intend to use only Waves plugins,
click “Later.” You can always initiate a scan manually, as described on the next page.
