WiFi Troubleshooting
Before following the troubleshooting guide below please check the following:
1. The password is WPA2 protected.
2. The router is set to a 2.4 GHz band. (802.11 b, g, n, b/g mixed, b/g/n mixed)
NOTE: If you need to change any of the items listed above, please refer to
your router manual.
7iE won’t connect/
lost connection to
WiFi Network
Possible connection timeout.
In the MyHeating App try to
connect to the WiFi Network
again. Does the 7iE connect?
Remove the display of the
7iE and after 10-15 seconds
reattach. Does the 7iE connect
to your WiFi Network?
Set up a mobile hotspot using
a smartphone. On a separate
device login to the MyHeating
app. Try to connect the 7iE to
this mobile hotspot.
Does the 7iE connect?
If the 7iE connected to
a mobile hotspot then
distance from the 7iE to
your router is the likely
issue, or the signal could be
blocked. A WiFi repeater/
extender may be required.
