5.7.4 SPRAYING PROCEDURE FOR FLAT JET AIR ATOMIZING
In this process, the spray product is fed to the nozzle at a pressure of 0.05–0.2 MPa; 0.5–2 bar;
7–29 psi. The atomizing air at approx. 0.25 - 0.4 MPa; 2.5 - 4 bar; 36 - 58 psi produces a soft
spray jet, which largely eliminates the problem of overlapping boundaries at the edges.
The shaping air allows modication of the spray jet. There are various nozzles and air caps
available as accessories for the respective spray product and the discharge quantities.

5.7.5 THE ELECTROSTATIC EFFECT
The in-system electrically loaded paint particles atomized by the spray gun are transported
to the grounded object by kinetic and electrostatic energy where they adhere, nely
distributed on the object being sprayed.
