1. Choose the jet effect: Horizontally • or vertically
•. By turning the nozzle (4) left or right.
2. Adjust the spray volume with fl uid adjustment
knob (12) by turning it back (decrease) or
forward (increase).
Note: Low volume is advised for smaller object
or surfaces. High volume is advised or bigger
surfaces.
Tip: We recommend starting at the minimum
setting.
3. Adjust the spray fl ow by using the fl ow control
valve (13): turn the knob to the left to reduce
the fl ow, to the right to increase the fl ow.
Note: The thinner the paint the lower the fl ow
should be, when using thicker paint make sure to
use a higher fl ow.
Tip: Several light layers rather than one thick layer
will help prevent the paint running.
4. Aim the spray gun to the to be sprayed surface
and pull the trigger (3). Hold the front of the
spray gun around 20-30 cm away from the to
be sprayed surface. Make long arm movements
rather than short wrist movements like show in
gure H. The most suitable method of surface
spraying is with a cross-pattern, starting with
horizontal passes and fi nishing with light
vertical passes. See fi gure J.
5. Release the trigger (3) to stop the spraying.
6. Check Spray Pattern Quality
A good spray pattern is evenly distributed as it
hits the surface, if not (add highest spray fl ow)
check the following:
- Spray tip may be worn.
- A smaller spray tip may be needed.
- Material may need to be thinned.
7. Adjust the Jet effect (step A), spray volume
(step B) and Spray fl ow (step C) depending on
the paint, object- surface to be sprayed and
desired coverage. Repeat steps D to H when not
satisfi ed with the test results.
Always let the paint/varnish/stains dry according to
the recommend dry time of the spray material for
applying multiple coats. Several light coats rather
than one thick coat will help prevent the paint
running.
Warning: Never direct the air towards your skin,
people or animals.
Disassembling the nozzle and nozzle needle (Fig. A)
The spray gun (1) comes with several nozzle types
(4). The nozzles can be exchanged by unscrewing
the nozzle (4) and screwing in a nozzle (4) in. Make
sure to tighten the nozzle (4) properly.
Unscrew the nozzle (4) from the spray gun
using the nozzle exchange tool (9).
Unscrew the fl uid adjustment knob (12), pull
the needle out of the spray gun (1) and take off
the needle spring (6).
Assembling the nozzle and nozzle needle (Fig. A)
Slide the disassembled needle spring on to
the desired needle (5) and slide the assembly
back in to the spray gun (1). Screw on the fl uid
adjustment knob (12), and screw on the nozzle
(4) back on tight using the nozzle exchange tool
(9).
5. MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always
Disconnect the spray gun from the air
source.
Cleaning the nozzles (Fig . A)
Remove the nozzle (4) from the spray gun (1)
using the nozzle exchange tool (9).
Use the cleaning brush (10) to scrub the nozzle (4)
Cleaning after each use
It is essential that the spray gun is cleaned
thoroughly after every use. Failure to clean it will
almost certainly result in blockages and it may not
operate the next time. The guarantee does not cover
a sprayer that has not been properly cleaned by the
user.
The following action must be taken after every use:
1. Empty any unused paint from the paint
container (15). Never leave paint to dry in the
unit (container, riser pipe, needle, nozzle), as
dried paint will prevent the spray gun from
functioning properly. Failure to observe this
