3. ASSEMBLY
Application (Fig. A)
For this tool, use one of the following length for
staples or nails:
• Staples: 16-40mm
• Nails: 10-50mm
• Choose the correct nail or staple for the job.
• Place the machine (1) on its side.
• Open de cartridge shaft (3) by slightly pressing
the reload lever (4).
• Pull the reload lever (4) to the right to open the
cartridge shaft (3).
For nails:
• Place the nails at the top of the cartridge shaft
(3). Like shown on the label of the cartridge
shaft, see example fig. A.
For staples:
• Place the staples at the bottom of the cartridge
shaft (3). Like shown on the label of the
cartridge shaft, see example fig. A.
• Slide the cartridge shaft (3) back until it clicks.
Replacing the drive pin with piston
A spare drive pin with piston is not included, this
article should be ordered separately on our web-
site, article number: CT804AA.
• To replace the drive pin with piston remove the
4 screws on the piston head.
• Take out the drive pin with piston out without
damaging the piston wall.
• Put in the new drive pin with piston and return
all the removed screws in their original position
4. OPERATION
Driving staples/nails (Fig. A)
• Place the safety tip (5) flat on the material to
be fastened at the spot where the staple or nail
should be located.
• Hold the front and rear part of the machine and
press the machine firmly against the material.
• Pull the trigger (2) to drive the staple/nail, then
release your finger from the trigger before
lifting the safety tip (5) from the material.
•
Warning! The safety of the machine will be lifted
when pressure is applied to the safety tip (5) on
the bottom of the machine. Always make sure
the tacker mouth is in direct contact with the
material when pressing the trigger. The tool may
rebound and produce a loud sound because of
the impact it operates with. Keep this in mind.
For long nails and staples this may cause incor-
rect stapling or nailing. Adjust the impact power
accordingly and apply backpressure to the
machine to prevent incorrect stapling or nailing.
