Step 1. Allow more than10seconds toelapse after removing thepowercords fromthe VX-3000DS' rear-
mounted AC inlets (IN1 and IN2).
Step 2. Insert the positive battery cable into the VX-3000DS' rear-mounted BATTERYPOWER IN positive
terminalfromthebottomsideoftheconnector,thentightentheterminalscrewwithaatscrewdriver.
Note
Neverconnectthenegativecablersttoavoidbattery short-circuitthatoccursifthepositivecable
should contact the unit chassis or equipment rack.
Step 3. Connect the negative battery cable to the negative terminal in the same manner as Step 2.

• Totalresistanceofthebatteryconnectionpathshouldbelessthan4mΩ,whichincludesresistanceofallof
wire, terminal, fuse, and terminal points.
For reference, refer to each resistance as follows.
Resistanceofterminal,fuse(ifprovided): 1–2mΩ
Resistanceofterminalpoint: 0.1–0.5mΩ
• Tightenthebolts,nuts,andscrewsoftheunit'sbatteryconnectionterminalsandbatteryterminalswiththe
torque as shown below.
