THROUGH MATTER
For this trick you will need to be standing up. Continuing from the previous trick, place one pompom ball on the table and
take the other one with your right hand. Now execute the vanishing movement.
Actually the ball is still in your right hand but your audience thinks that it is now in your left st. Place your left hand, into
your left trouser pocket and explain to the audience in your own words that using your magical power you will be able
to pass the ball through your trouser pocket. Now move your right hand, which really contains the pompom ball, in front
of your left trouser pocket. Remember that your left hand is still inside your pocket. With your right hand press the ball
against your trousers close to your left hand, and with your left ngers grasp the ball through the trousers and fold the
fabric so that it is concealed. In this position remove your right hand. The pinched portion of the trousers will look like a
fold in the cloth. Begin a rubbing movement with your left ngers and at the same time relax the grip on the ball. It will look
like the ball emerges into view. Grasp the ball in your right hand and show it to the audience.
WHERE DID IT GO?
Place a pompom ball from your magic set on the palm of your hand either behind your back or under a tissue or
handkerchief. Now go to several people in the audience asking them to feel inside your loose st or under the handkerchief
to make sure it is still there. Once a few people have conrmed that the ball is still there, have someone hold your wrist,
say the magic words, and slowly reveal that the ball has disappeared. How? The last person to conrm that it is still there
is your secret assistant who took the ball away unseen!
SAWING A COTTON IN HALF
Have one pompom ball secretly hidden in your hand and in the same hand openly show the other ball. Place them both
together on the table and press them down with your rst nger. Roll your nger up and down over the balls as if sawing
them in half. Lift your nger off and you will have made two balls.
THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE
For this trick you will need the assistance of a secret helper among the audience. Place a pompom ball on the palm of
your hand and cover it with a handkerchief. Say some magic words and tell the audience that the ball has disappeared.
Invite members of the audience to come near and feel beneath the handkerchief. The spectators will laugh, because the
ball is still there and they think that your trick has gone wrong. You look puzzled and say that you surely did not use the
right magic words. You speak then other magic words and lift the handkerchief. The ball has gone! The spectator will not
understand, because the last person who looked under the handkerchief was your secret helper and they simply took
the ball away!
A POMPOM BALL CHANGES COLOR
For this trick you will need two cups from your magic set. (For ease of description we will say that one cup is yellow and
the other is blue.) Take the yellow and blue cup, and one white and one red pompom ball. Before presenting the trick, (and
so the audience does not see), place the red ball in the yellow cup. Face the audience and place the yellow cup upside
down on the table so that nobody sees the red ball inside. Now place the white ball on top of the yellow cup and then cover
the yellow cup and red ball with the blue cup. Tap the blue cup with the magic wand and raising the two cups together the
audience will see that the white ball has mysteriously changed to red.
ONE, TWO, ONE, TWO
It is a funny name for a trick but that is what you should say all the way through this little quick trick.
With your right hand, place two pompom balls about 20 cm (8 inches) apart on the table. As you place them down you
say, “One, two”. Immediately pick the left ball up with your left hand and the right one with the right hand again saying,
“One, two”. Now put them down again left and right, “One, two”. Now put your hands down, palm upwards, rst with the
left then with the right, on top of the balls, “One, two”. Now comes the sneaky move, without losing rhythm the right hand
turns over, picks up the ball and apparently puts it into the left hand which closes, “One”, but really you keep the ball in
your right hand as the left hand moves away for you to pick up the left ball also with the right hand, “Two”. Now knock with
both hands on the table. “One, two” and open them, rst left, “None” then right, “Two”…
THE MIRACLE OF THE TWO POMPOM BALLS
Put two pompom balls on the table and hide a third one secretly in your right hand. Ask a spectator to choose one of
the balls on the table and pick up that ball with your right hand. Place both balls in the right hand of the spectator. The
