WHICH HAND?
Now that you have completed the “Flying To The Pocket” trick, you are ready to follow with this routine. Hold one pompom
ball with your right thumb and index nger, while the other ball is secretly hidden in your palm. Place the ball into the palm
of your left hand. Make both hands into a st, give the table a quick knock (Image 4) and cross your arms. Ask an audience
member where the ball is. Regardless of the response, open your other hand and say: “No, it’s here.” You can repeat this
a few times. Every time, show your audience that the ball is in your other hand. Since your audience members are only
aware of one ball, it will be all the more astounding when you show them that you now have two cloth balls.
INVISIBLE TRAVEL
Put a pompom ball on the table and the other one into your right hand holding it palm up. Now pretend to pass the ball to
your left hand but what you are really doing is the basic movement. It’s very important you have to remember that every
time you perform this vanish, your left hand should be closed. Now, take the ball that remains on the table and place
your palm directly on top of it. Take care not to make your audience pay attention to this movement. Now both balls can
be picked up together as if they are only one ball. Ask a spectator to open their right hand and place both balls in the
spectators hand and say “Here, have one ball while I hold the other one”. Now ask them to close their st. Say to the
spectator that you have magical powers and that your ball will make an invisible journey from your hand to their st. Make
magical movements and open your ngers slowly, one by one, surprise! Now when the spectator opens their st they will
be confused at how you did that!
TWO IN A HAND
After you have performed the previous trick, place two balls next to one another on the table. Place the ball on the right
into your left hand and the ball on the left into your right hand. Now open your hands and show the audience that there is
a cloth ball in each hand. Say that the trick didn’t work because you forgot to say the magic words. Repeat the moves. But
this time, when you pick up the ball on the right, don’t actually place it in your left hand; keep it in your right hand tucked
under your ring and pinky ngers (Image 7) but still make a st with your left hand. Your audience members will believe
that you now have the ball in your left hand. Pick up the second ball with your right thumb and index nger and close your
hand around it. Make sure that no one can see the other ball. Say a few magic words, open both hands and show the
audience that the second ball has magically appeared in your right hand!
THE MAGIC POMPOM BALL
For this trick you will need the cups, a white pompom ball, and a red ball pompom ball. Before performing the trick, so
the audience does not see, place the red ball in one of the cups. While facing the audience quickly place the cup upside
down on the table so that nobody sees the red ball inside. Now place the white ball on top of the cup and then cover the
cup and red ball with the other cup. Tap the cup with a magic wand then raise the two cups together. The audience will
see that the white ball has mysteriously changed to red.
