14. Remote control functions
Connecting a dierent AtomX SYNC,
UltraSync BLUE or similar device
Unpairing rst is necessary to switch connection from an already
paired AtomX SYNC/UltraSync BLUE or similar device to a dierent
device.
1.
Press the F1[MENU] button when the unit is stopped
and the HOME screen is open, and set MENU screen >
TIMECODE > BLE to “ON”.
2.
Select TIMECODE> BLE • FORGET and press the F4[ENTER]
button to clear the pairing data.
3.
Select TIMECODE >BLE • CONNECT and press the F4[ENTER]
button to search for and pair with an AtomX SYNC/
UltraSync BLUE or similar device.

Using remote control while timecode is
running free
The remote control app can be used with the unit running free
using the timecode that it last received.
1.
Turn on the timecode function and synchronize the timecode
with a supported Atomos product. (“Connecting with sup-
ported Atomos products” on page 55)
2.
End timecode synchronization with the supported Atomos
product. (“Connecting and disconnecting with supported
Atomos products” on page 55)
The unit will start running freely based on the last received
timecode data.
NOTE
Free running will use the clock position of this unit.
3.
Connect with the TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT dedicated
control app. (“Connecting with the dedicated control app”
on page 55)
The above procedures allow the remote control app to be used
with the unit while it is running free using the timecode that it
last received.
