10. File operations
Setting the le number
Press the F1[MENU] button when the unit is stopped and the
HOME screen is open to open the MENU screen.

Select SYSTEM > FILE NAME
• NUMBER and press the
F4[ENTER] button.
o Use the F2[ ] and F3[
] buttons to change the
values
o Use the m[d] and
,[e] buttons to
move the cursor
o Press the F4[SET] button
to conrm
NOTE
o If a le with the same name and number already exists at the
time of recording, “[---]” will be added after the le number.
(--- is a three-digit number from 001 to 999.)
o This will be disabled if the METADATA function has been
turned on using the dedicated control app.

overview
Folders
Formatting microSD cards with this unit will create SOUND and
UTILITY folders.
Recording data is saved in the SOUND folder by default.
Folders can be created inside the SOUND folder.
Create them as necessary. (“Creating folders (NEW FOLDER)” on
page 47)
Recording data
Recording data is saved in the current folder. After a microSD
card is formatted, the SOUND folder becomes the current folder.
To change the current folder, select the folder on the BROWSE
screen, and select OPEN. (“Setting where recording projects are
saved” on page 49)

UTILITY
Firmware update les
o SOUND and UTILITY folders will be created automatically
during formatting.
o Only two levels of subfolders can be created.
o The maximum total number of les and folders is 1000.
o Everything in the SOUND folder and its subfolders is shown
on the BROWSE screen.
