Headers and Connections

4-pin BMC External I²C Header
A System Management Bus header for the BMC is located at JIPMB1. Connect the appropriate
cable here to use the IPMB I²C connection on your system.

COM Header
There is one COM header at JCOM1 on the X14DBT-FAP/-FLAP motherboard. Use a cable
with the COM header to access the COM1 COM port. COM ports provide serial communication
support.

Fan Header
There are four 8-pin fan headers (FAN1–FAN4) on the motherboard. These fan headers are
used for cooling fans for your system. Fan speed control for these fans is supported by thermal
management via BMC 2.0 interface.
