You can adjust the power level
at any time by sliding the flat of
your finger across the slider control,
from left to right to increase the
power level, or from right to left to
decrease the power level.
Adjusting the power level down to 0
switches the cooking zone o.
POWER BOOST
FUNCTION
The power boost function
temporarily boosts the power to a
cooking zone, so that the water can
come to the boil more quickly, by
'borrowing' power from an adjacent
cooking zone. Power boost can be
used on any of the five cooking
zones, but not all at the same time.
Touch the slider control
for
the relevant cooking zone. Slide the
flat of your finger across the slider
control , from left to right,
until 'P' shows in the display. You
can also touch the power boost key
'P' to select the power boost.
The power boost function operates
for about 10 minutes before the
zone returns to power level 9, but
can be cancelled at any time by
selecting a dierent power level.
CAUTION
Please note that pans
will generally heat up
quickly on induction hobs,
especially when using the
power boost function.
Please ensure that pans
are not over-filled with
water to prevent them
boiling over.
Please note that the power
boost function must only
be used for heating water,
not oil or fat.
NOTICE
If you were to attempt
to boost two zones on
the same side of the hob,
the zone most recently
boosted would stay on
power level P, while the
other zone would be
automatically reduced to
power level 9.
NOTE
The Power Boost function
will only operate for
a limited time and
is also under thermal
control. This means
that Power Boost will
deactivate automatically
if the product is hot,
to protect the internal
electronic components
of the hob and to
prevent the cookware
from overheating.
