The wires of the control cable are assigned as follows:
– White = Input 1 / SG Ready contact 1
– Brown = Input 2 / SG Ready contact 2
– Green = not used
– Yellow = Common earth for separate inputs SG1, SG2
u Wire up the contact inputs for the control cable depending
on which SG-Ready functions you wish to use.

u Insulate the red wire of the control cable.
6.4.2 Connecting the network, CAN bus and power supply unit
After all bus subscribers have been commissioned, the final step
is to connect the ISG to the CAN bus.
The ISG connects to the interface for the second programming
unit or the remote control of your heat pump/ integral ventila-
tion unit.
u Using the enclosed CAN bus cable, connect the ISG to your
system via one of the two COM interfaces.

u If there is only one interface, the ISG connects in parallel to
the CAN BUS as an additional programming unit.
u Connect the ISG to your router via the "LAN" socket using
the patch cable supplied.
u Make sure that the WPM has been commissioned and has
fully started up.
u Connect the ISG to the mains using the USB-C power supply
unit supplied.
ð The electrical connection has been established and the ISG
is switched on.
7 Commissioning (qualified contract-
ors)
7.1 Checks before commissioning
Check cabling
u Check the wiring between appliance, router, and heat
pump/ integral ventilation unit.
Checking the mains connection
When the power plug is plugged in, the appliance is switched
on.
– After switching on, the appliance requires about 60seconds
to start up. During this time, LED2 (centre) flashes.
– Approximately 60seconds after switching on the power
supply, LED1 (left) starts to flash green. During this time,
the appliance is initialised by the WPM. This process takes
5to 10minutes, depending on the type of heat pump.
– Once initialisation is complete, LED1 (left) lights up green
continuously.
Communication with heat pump/ integral ventilation unit
LED1 indicates the connection status to your heat pump/ integ-
ral ventilation unit. LED1 should light up green continuously.
u Check the indication of LED1 (left LED).
LED1 (left) CAN connection status
Green connection established
Green flashing (slowly) Connection established or no connec-
tion
Green flashing (quickly) Initialization or CAN update WPM
(can take several minutes). Once the
process is complete, LED1 (left) lights
up green continuously.
Connection to the internet
LED 2 indicates the connection status to the internet. LED 2
should light up green continuously.
u Check the indication of LED2 (centre LED).

Red no connection
Blue Service button is pressed
Blue (flashing slowly) App pairing is active
Communication with the SERVICEWELT portal
LED3 indicates the connection status to the SERVICEWELT portal
(see
Enabling data access from the SERVICEWELT portal [}21]
).
When data access is not enabled, LED3 illuminates red.
u Check the indication of LED3 (right LED).

Router settings
For automatic IP address assignment to the appliance, DHCP
must be enabled on your router.
u Check your router settings.
7.2 Registering on the home network
If necessary, you can update the website during the
registration process in SERVICEWELT.
u If required, press the F5 key or the Refresh but-
ton.
We recommend assigning a static IP address.
