» Posion the lter system at a sucient distance from the pool wall so that it cannot be used as an entry aid.
» Ensure sucient air exchange to prevent the motor from overheang.
» Do not leave the appliance running dry (without water).
» Never put the appliance or parts of it into the pool.
» Never use occulants for your pool water under any circumstances. Filter Balls can easily clump together
with occulant.
» The lter system is not self-priming and must therefore be installed below the water level.
Unpacking and checking the scope of delivery
WARNING!
Choking hazard due to packaging material!
Catching the head in packaging lm or swallowing other packaging material can lead to death by suocaon.
Especially for children and mentally impaired people, who are unable to assess the risks due to a lack of
knowledge and experience, there is an increased potenal for danger here.
» Ensure that children and mentally impaired people do not play with the packaging material.
Preparaon
Choice of locaon
The following requirements must be met or considered:
» Posion of the device between the sucon connecon and the inlet nozzle and at a sucient distance from
the pool wall so that the device cannot be used as an entry aid
» Posion of the device below the water level
» Maximum distance of three metres from the pool
» Stable, rm and horizontally aligned base, e.g. exposed aggregate concrete slab
Filter sha
A lter sha is required if the pool is parally or completely sunk into the ground in order to be able
to place the appliance below the pool water level.
» Ensure that the lter sha is not ooded and that the surrounding water and rainwater can seep away
easily.
» This can be achieved by rolling a suitable layer of gravel at the boom of the sha. An oponal submersible
pump with oat switch, which is connected to a channel or drain, provides addional protecon for your
lter system against rising water within the sump.
» Ensure sucient natural venlaon of the sump to prevent condensaon.
» Size the lter sha so that work can be carried out on the appliance.

The device‘s integrated pump draws in pool water via the lter material and pumps it back into the pool aer
it has been ltered. The lter system is not self-priming and must therefore be installed below the water level.
When operated with the PV panel, the lter system only works when there is sucient sunlight.
The device is equipped with connecons for Ø 32 mm swimming pool hoses.
Filter me
The water in the pool should be circulated at least twice within 24 hours. If the pool is heavily used, it should
be circulated 3 to 5 mes a day.
Inial commissioning
WARNING!
Danger to life due to operaon of the water treatment system while bathing!
Hair or items of clothing can be sucked into the sucon opening of the pool and, in extreme cases, trap people
under water and prevent them from surfacing.
» Never operate water treatment system devices while people are in the pool.
» Prevent all access to the pool while water treatment system devices are in operaon.
NOTE!
Flocculants in the bath water can cause the Filter Balls or Filter Wool Flakes to clump together and severely
impair their cleaning eect.
» Do not use occulants for water treatment if you are using Filter Balls or Filter Wool Flakes as a lter
medium.
Check before commissioning
» The appliance is outside the pool and the power cable is disconnected from the power supply
Assembly
» Assemble the appliance parts as shown in gure A and
the corresponding item numbers..
» Note that the union nut and the connecng elbow

are already pre-assembled.
» Moisten the two lower O-Rings

with a lile water or
detergent.
» Push the connecon elbow

into the threaded cover

and ghten the union nut
1
by hand. Do not use
any tools for this as they could damage the union nut!
