About sync signal connection
In a multi player system, the output from a word clock generator must be connected to the WORD SYNC input connector of each
Player PC and control unit (CU).
Connect the sync signal to each Player PC in a cascade
connection and to each control unit in a cascade connection.
• Player PC connection
Connect the signal from the word clock generator to the Main
Player PC, Sub Player PC 1, Sub PC 2, and Sub Player PC 3
in that order.
Connect the Player PC using a BNC T-type splitter connected
to the word clock input connector. The last Sub Player PC in
the connection must be terminated. Connect a BNC terminator
(75 Ω) to the BNC T-type splitter.
• Control unit connection
Up to three control units can be connected to each Sub Player
PC. Connect each control unit using the WORD SYNC input/
output connectors.
Connect the control units connected to MADI output 1 of each
Sub Player PC in a cascade connection. Connect the control
units connected to MADI output 2 and connected to MADI
output 3 in cascade connections in the same way.
Configure the termination setting of the last control unit within
each cascade connection. Set the 75 Ω switch on the rear
panel to on to set the termination.
To change the termination setting for a cascade connection, turn off the
control units.
The control units share the sync signal in a cascade connection.
Consequently, if the termination setting is changed while the control units
are turned on, audio may not be output from some of the speakers. If this
occurs, turn off all the control units, and then turn them on again.
