• Make sure that the spark plug connector is at-
tached to the spark plug.
• Look for signs of damage.
• Check that all protective covers are in place and
that all screws, nuts and bolts are tightened.
12.1 Starting the engine (Fig. 10)
NOTE
The cutting thread rotates when the motor is started.
1. Check the fuel and engine oil level before every
start (see 10.1 and 10.2). Make sure that the spark
plug connector is connected to the spark plug (6).
2. In colder temperatures, press the fuel pump
“primer” (7) three times. This makes it easier to
start the product (Fig. 10).
3. Stand behind the product. One hand pushes the
engine brake lever (2) towards the handle (1), the
other hand should be on the pull-wire starter (21).
4. Start the engine with the pull starter (21). To do
this, pull the handle out approx. 10-15 cm (until
resistance is felt). And then pull hard with a jerk.
If the engine does not start, pull on the pull start-
er (21) again.
5. Due to protective coating on the engine, a small
amount of smoke may be present during the ini-
tial use of the product and should be considered
normal. This is a normal process.
NOTE
Only use the fuel pump “primer” when the en-
gine is cold!
ATTENTION
- Do not let the pull starter whip back in. This can
result in damage.
- Only use the fuel pump “primer” when the en-
gine is cold!
12.2 Switch o the motor
m WARNING
Danger of injury!
After switching o the motor, the cutting line contin-
ues to run for a few seconds. If you touch the rotat-
ing parts, you may cut yourself.
- Wait until the cutting thread comes to a standstill
- Do not brake the cutting line by hand.
- Wear protective gloves.
- Keep the cutting line away from your feet.
1. To switch o the engine, release the engine
brake lever (2).
11. Start-up
NOTE
Some noise pollution from this product is un-
avoidable. Postpone noisy work to approved
and designated times. If necessary, adhere
to rest periods and limit the duration of work
to the bare minimum. For your personal pro-
tection and the protection of nearby persons,
wear suitable hearing protection.

Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
11.1 Setting the cutting height (Fig. 8-9)
ATTENTION
Adjust the cutting height only when the engine is
switched o and the plug boot has been pulled.
1. In dense, tall grass, set the highest cutting level
and mow more slowly. Adjust the cutting height so
that the product is not overloaded.
2. The cutting height adjustment is innitely variable.
To adjust the cutting height, loosen the hexagon
head screws (10) on the side of the spindle shaft
(Fig. 8).
3. Slide the spindle (12) to the desired position, be-
tween 40 mm and 95 mm cutting height (Fig. 9).
4. Tighten the screws (10) again.
11.2 Engine brake lever (2) (Fig. 10)
You must check the spindle stop device before each
start-up. Start the engine
as described under 12.1.
1. Release the engine brake lever (2). The motor
switches o and the spindle shaft is braked.
2. The cutting thread (11) must stop within 7 seconds.
12. Operation
The product is powered by a powerful, air-cooled
4-stroke engine.
It is equipped with innitely variable cutting height ad-
justment and a folding push handle. Please refer to the
following descriptions for the function of the controls.
Check before operation
• Check all sides of the engine for oil or fuel leaks.
• Check the engine oil level.
• Check the fuel level – the fuel tank should be at
least half-full.
• Check the condition of the air lter.
• Check the condition of the fuel lines.
