2. Turn the hose coupling (6) clockwise until it fully en-
gages.
3. Check that the suction hose (4) is installed correctly
by gently pulling on the hose coupling (6).
8.6 Uncoupling the suction hose (4)
(Fig. 9, 10)
Uncouple the suction hose (4) from the suction connec-
tion (5) or the blast connection (3):
1. Turn the hose coupling (6) counter-clockwise.
2. Pull the hose coupling (6) out of the suction connec-
tion (3) or the blast connection (5).
8.7 Store the nozzles (13, 14, 15),
suction pipe (17) and telescopic
tube (16) (Fig. 11)
1. You can store the nozzles (13, 14, 15), suction pipe
(17) and telescopic hose (16) in the holders (22) on
the container cover (12) and in the base frame (9).
8.8 Attaching the suction pipe (17) or
telescopic tube (16) (Fig. 12, 13)
Note:
The telescopic tube allows you to adjust the product to
suit your individual size.
1. Attach the suction pipe (17) or the telescopic tube (16)
to the handle (7).
2. To extend the telescopic tube (16), push the unlock
button (16a) forwards and hold it in this position.
3. Adjust the telescopic tube (16) to the desired length
and release the unlock button (16a) again.
8.9 Using the various nozzles (13, 14,
15) (Fig. 1, 14)
Floor nozzle (13)
• Vacuuming of solid materials and liquids on medium
to large surfaces, carpets or floor mats.
• Use the floor nozzle (13) in conjunction with the tele-
scopic tube (16) or the suction pipe (17).
• If required, it can also be used without the extensions.
Upholstery nozzle (14)
• Vacuuming of solid materials and liquids on seating
furniture, suites and upholstered surfaces.
Joint nozzle (15)
• Vacuuming of solid materials and liquids in joints, cor-
ners, radiators and hard-to-reach areas.
8.9.1 Attaching the nozzle
1. Insert the desired nozzle (13, 14, 15) into the handle
(7) or the telescopic tube (16) or suction pipe (17).
2. Remove the nozzle by pulling it forwards out of the re-
spective connection (7, 16, 17).
9 Operation
Please refer to the following descriptions for the function
of the controls.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.
ATTENTION
The product is part of the 20V IXES series and may on-
ly be operated with batteries of this series. Batteries
may only be charged with battery chargers of this se-
ries. Observe the manufacturer's instructions.
9.1 Inserting/removing the battery (25)
in the battery mount (24)
(Fig. 15, 16)
Inserting the battery
1. Open the cover (23).
2. Push the battery (25) into the battery mount (24). The
battery (25) clicks into place audibly.
3. Close the cover (23).
Removing the battery
1. Open the cover (23).
2. Press the unlock button (26) of the battery (25) and
remove it from the battery mount (24).
3. Close the cover (23).
9.2 Switching the product on/off
(Fig. 1)
WARNING
– Do not vacuum up glowing materials. Even material
that looks as if it has cooled down from the outside
can still be very hot on the inside. Hot material that
has been sucked out can reignite in the air flow.
– Hot ash should not be extinguished with water, as
the sudden temperature difference can cause
cracks in the chimney.
– Wait at least 24 hours before vacuuming a fireplace
to ensure that the fire has gone out and the ashes
have cooled down.
ATTENTION
Do not use without a filter!
Switching on
1. Switch the product on by setting the on/off switch (2)
to the “I” position.
Switching off
1. Switch the product off by setting the on/off switch (2)
to the “0” position.
9.3 Overload protection
Note:
In the event of overloading, the motor will switch itself off.
After a cool-down period (time varies) the motor can be
switched back on again.
