6. Commissioning
m ATTENTION! Always make sure the product is fully
assembled before commissioning!
m ATTENTION! Only use the automatic welding hel-
met with the built-in rear panel (9).
m ATTENTION! Keep the sensors (13) of the UV/IR
lter (10) clean and clear.
m Before each use check that the automatic welding
helmet and the protective panel are intact. If the pro-
tective panel exhibits scratches, cracks or unevenness,
it must be replaced before use, otherwise serious inju-
ries may occur.
• Remove the protective lm from the inside and out-
side of the visor.
6.1 Adjusting the upper headband (Fig. 2)
To adjust the height, slide the strap apart or together
and snap the pin into the corresponding hole (see po-
sition B).
6.2 Adjusting the rear headband (2) (Fig. 2)
Note: The rotary knob (3) on the back is locked until it
is pressed in.
After unlocking, turn the rotary knob (3) clockwise to
tighten the headband and anti-clockwise to loosen it
(see position A).
6.3 Adjusting the viewing angle (Fig. 2)
To adjust the viewing angle, loosen the rotary knobs
(4) on both sides of the helmet and position the angle
lock on the right-hand rotary knob (4) to the desired tilt
position (5 positions, in the centre by default). Tighten
the rotary knobs (4) as soon as the desired angle is
reached. It should still be possible to swing the helmet
upwards, but it should not lower when it is put on for
welding (see position C).
6.4 Adjusting the distance (Fig. 2)
To adjust the distance between the user’s face and the
lter cassette (ADF lter) (8), loosen the knobs (4) on
both sides of the helmet until the headband (2) can be
moved freely forwards and backwards. Position the
headband (2) in one of the three slots for the desired
position (in the centre by default). This should be done
on both sides to ensure that the automatic darkening
lter works properly.
