m IMPORTANT! When the welding helmet is switched
o󰀨, not in use and / or stored, always hold the helmet
with the lter sensors facing downwards. Otherwise,
this may a󰀨ect battery consumption.
Inhalation hazard: Toxic vapours are produced dur-
ing welding and plasma cutting:
Exhaust fumes from welding or cutting work can in-
crease the risk of developing certain types of cancer
such as laryngeal cancer or lung cancer. Some dis-
eases that can be associated with welding or plasma
cutting emissions are:
- Early onset of Parkinson’s disease
- Heart disease
- Ulcers
- Damage to the reproductive organs
- Inammation of the small intestine or stomach
- Kidney damage
- Respiratory diseases such as emphysema, bron-
chitis or pneumonia
Use natural or forced ventilation and wear an approved
respirator to protect against the vapours produced to
reduce the risk of developing the above diseases.
m WARNING! If the auto-darkening lter does not
darken when the arc strikes, stop welding immediately
and consult the operating manual.
Always wear impact-resistant safety goggles and
hearing protection when using this welding helmet.
Check the UV/IR lter at regular intervals. Replace
scratched, cracked or pitted protective panels or UV/
IR lters immediately.

m WARNING! Materials that come into contact with
the wearer’s skin can cause allergic reactions in sen-
sitive individuals.
m WARNING! If protection against high velocity parti-
cles at extreme temperatures is required, the selected
eye protection device must be labelled with the letter
T directly after the letter for the impact intensity, i.e.
FT, BT or AT. If the letter for the impact intensity is not
followed by the letter T, the eye protection device may
only be used against high-speed particles at room tem-
perature.
Read the warnings on prescriptions to determine if
your judgement or reexes are impaired while taking
drugs. If in doubt, do not weld.
Servicing. For your safety, servicing and mainte-
nance should only be carried out regularly by a qual-
ied technician.
This helmet only provides protection for its intended
purpose. There are certain applications for which
this helmet was developed. Do not modify this hel-
met and do not use it for a purpose for which it was
not intended.
The welding helmet with automatic darkening is not
suitable for laser and gas welding.
Make sure that you have set the automatic dimming
before each welding process.
Only use the welding helmet at temperatures be-
tween -5 °C and +55 °C. The reaction time of the
lter slows down if this temperature is not reached
or is exceeded.
The welding helmet does not protect against serious
impact hazards.
The welding helmet does not protect against explo-
sive devices or corrosive liquids.
Take proper care of the helmet and the UV / IR lter
to ensure reliable protection:
- Clean the lter surfaces regularly. Keep sensors
and solar cells clean with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Do not use any solvents on the lter or helmet
components. Protect the lter from contact with
liquids and dirt. Do not immerse the lter in water.
- If the automatic welding helmet does not darken
when an arc occurs, stop welding immediately
and have the helmet checked by a qualied ser-
vice technician.
- Replace the front protective panel if it is cracked,
scratched, torn or damaged in any other way.
- Do not make any changes to the auto-darkening
lter or the rest of the welding helmet other than
those specied in this operating manual. Do not
use any spare parts other than those specied in
this manual. Unauthorised modications and re-
placement parts will invalidate the warranty and
may cause injury to the user. Do not open or ma-
nipulate the auto-darkening lter.
Do not place the helmet’s auto-darkening lter on a
hot surface.
Serious injury and / or blindness may result if the
user does not observe the above warnings and / or
does not follow the operating manual.
Maintain the labelling and type plates on the tool.
These contain important safety information.
