Normal running sounds
All products have different "operating sounds," which can sometimes seem annoying but are
completely normal functional sounds.
These are normal sounds:
Light humming
This sound originates from the engine and can occasionally become louder when the engine has just
started.
Gargling/rippling sound or slight hum
Originates from the coolant circulating through the pipes.
Clicks
Small clicks can always be heard when electronic cards start or stop the compressor.
Light background noise
If the product has a fan (depending on the model), the air circulating inside the product may create a
slight background noise.
Avoid noise
If you find that the sounds are louder than usual, this can be due to several reasons. You can handle
most of them yourself without a visit from a service technician.
The product is not stable
If the product is tilted, it can affect the circulation of refrigerant. Adjust on the leveling feet or place
something underneath.
The door does not close tightly
If the door of the product does not close tightly, the compressor has to work harder to keep the
temperature down. Make sure to close the door properly or get a service technician to replace the
sealing strip.
The product is too close to a wall
The compressor emits small vibrations. If the product is too close to the wall, the sound of these will
increase. Fix it by moving the product further away from the wall.
