Connecting/Disconnecting the S-240P
Connecting Via the DC OUTPUT Adapter Cable
For devices such as the M-5000 and M-5000C that have an XLR-type EXT. POWER DC INPUT connector, you make the connection to the DC OUTPUT
plug on the S-240P via the included DC OUTPUT conversion cable.
Attaching
1. Insert the DC OUTPUT plug on the S-240P into the
Speakon end of the conversion cable.
2. Rotate the S-240P’s DC OUTPUT plug clockwise until a
distinct click is heard.
3. Insert the XLR4 end of the conversion cable into the
device’s EXT. POWER DC INPUT connector until it connects
with an audible click.
Detaching
1. While keeping the lock switch on the XLR4 end of
conversion cable connected to the S-240P depressed,
detach the cable from the EXT. POWER DC INPUT connector.

2. While holding the lock switch on theS-240P’s DC OUTPUT
plug pulled back, rotate counterclockwise.

3. Detach the DC OUTPUT plug on the S-240P from the
Speakon end of conversion cable.
