• Depending on the states you specify for TLS 1.3, TLS 1.2, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.0, and
SSL 3.0, the machine might not be able to connect to an external LDAP server.
Enabling SSL for SMTP connection
1. Log in to the machine as the network administrator on the control panel.

When custom-privileges administrators are registered, you can log in to the
machine as a custom-privileges administrator with the Send (Email/Folder)
privilege as well.

2. On the Home screen, press [Settings].
3. Press [System Settings].
4. Press [Send (Email/Folder)] [Email] [SMTP Server].
5. From the list next to Use Secure Connection (SSL), select [SMTP over SSL] or
[STARTTLS].
• Selecting [SMTP over SSL] changes the port number to 465, and selecting
[STARTTLS] changes it to 578.
