2.8.2 Failure state and supply voltage: Status LEDs
The US1 and US2 LEDs indicate the status of the device supply voltages. The FS LED
indicates whether the device is in the safe state (failure state) (C in Figure 2-6 on page 30).
The LEDs have the following meaning:
Table 2-4 Diagnostic and status LEDs: supply voltage and failure state
Designation Color Status Meaning
US1 Green

Failure state
The device is in the safe state following an inter-
nally diagnosed device error.
Possible causes are:
–Operating temperature over or underrange
Remedy: check the ambient conditions
(e.g., sufficient ventilation in the control
cabinet) and operate the safe PROFINET
gateway within the range specified.
Temporary EMI above the permissible
compatibility limits.
Remedy: check ambient conditions (e.g.,
equipotential bonding and grounding
concept). Detect and remove sources of
interference.
This operating state can only be exited by
switching the supply voltage of the safe
PROFINET gateway off and on again (power up).
If a power up does not solve the problem, please
contact Phoenix Contact.
Flashing
The safety-related function of the safe
PROFINET gateway is incorrect, incomplete or
not even parameterized.
OFF
Operating state; the device is parameterized, no
errors present.
