4.1.11 Network settings (only for ...-MTCP devices)

Specify the network settings of the device. The following values are preset by default:

Device name

The devices support the NetBios name service. With this protocol, the device can be ad-

dressed using a host name, without knowing the IP address of the device. The device has

two manufacturer-specific and non-modifiable names. The third name can be freely se-

lected. The following names have been defined:

– First manufacturer-specific NetBios name: (e.g., ECM-UC-100A-UI)

– User-specific NetBios name: (default: )

The ECM device acts as a Modbus/TCP server and opens port 502 for commu-

nication. Make sure that port 502 in your network is approved for Modbus/TCP

communication.

IP address 192.168.1.2

Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Standard gateway 192.168.1.1

DNS server 192.168.1.1

When the dynamic IP assignment is used, the device obtains its IP configura-

tion via the DHCP protocol from another DHCP server in the same network.
