Danger to life from electric shock in case of damaged cables

Life-threatening electric shocks

Danger from electromagnetic fields

Persons with pacemakers, metal implants, or hearing aids might be harmed. These persons

have to consult a doctor before entering the service room in which this system is operated.

Danger to life from electric shock

The system is supplied by several voltage sources: AC mains and DC source (vehicle bat-

tery).

If only one source is shut off, voltage might still be present in the system.

Danger to life from electric shock in case of a fire

Inside the system, hazardous voltage is present even if the fuses have blown. Therefore, in

case of a fire, do not use water to extinguish the fire.

Standard DIN VDE 0132:2001-08 or national regulations describe protective measures for

firefighting in the vicinity of electrical systems.

Only use suitable extinguishing agents to fight a fire.
