1 Safety notes

1.1 Field of application of the product

The High Power Charging system is a high power charging system for vehicle batteries.

In its basic design, the control cabinet consists of two separated charging points. Each of

the two charging points can be equipped with two CHARX PS/3AC/920DC/87.5KW DC

power modules.

Only operate the High Power Charging system with the permissible connection values. For

additional information, please refer to Section “System specifications” on page 83. Operate

the system in the prescribed operating position and operating mode. Only use the system

in a technically faultless and safe operating state.

Improper and incorrect use includes:

– Connection not fixed

– Mobile use

– Use in rooms with a humidity >95%

– Operation outside the specifications prescribed by the manufacturer

Unauthorized modifications and alterations to this system are prohibited. Only use acces-

sories and replacement parts approved by the manufacturer.

Incorrect operation or modifications to the device can endanger your safety or damage the

device. Do not repair the device yourself. If the device is defective, please contact

Phoenix Contact.

Obligations of the person responsible for the system

– Make sure that safety notes and operating instructions are available and adhered to.

– Observe the operating conditions and technical data.

– Make sure that protective devices are used.

– Perform the prescribed maintenance work.

– Shut down the system in case of abnormal voltage or noise, higher temperatures, vibra-

tions or similar. Immediately inform the maintenance staff to determine the cause.

The High Power Charging system is designed for commercial and industrial use. Restric-

tions regarding the installation or additional measures may be required to prevent malfunc-

tion.
