4 Mounting

4.1 Safety notes for mounting

DANGER: Danger to life from fire and explosion

Fire due to inflammable or explosive material near the system can result in major inju-

ries. Do not mount the system in the vicinity of easily inflammable substances.

DANGER: Danger to life from electric shock

Incorrect mounting can result in life-threatening situations. The system and connected

components may be damaged.

WARNING: Risk of fire

Incorrect mounting increases the risk of fire.

WARNING: Danger of crushing fingers or hands

Crushing can occur on the hinge side of the door.

– Do not reach into the hinge side of the door.

– Close the door carefully.

There is danger of crushing during the installation of the system control cabinets.

– Do not reach in between separated system control cabinets.

– Position the cabinets with the utmost caution.

WARNING: Risk of injury from heavy weight

Pay attention to the weight of the system. The installation location and floor have to be

suitable.

4.2 Requirements for the installation location

Electrical service room

Only set up the system in a room with limited access authorization. Access is only granted

to authorized and trained staff.

Ambient conditions

Only install the system indoors.

The CHARX PS/3AC/920DC/87.5KW modules are designed for pollution degree 2. If nec-

essary, install filters to provide this environment.

The housing can be damaged by aggressive gas (ammoniac, sulfur, and other chemicals)

in connection with humidity caused by the weather. Installation in rooms with aggressive

gas is not permitted.

The high power density of the system can only be implemented by circulation of large air

masses. If the large fans in the front of the DC power module suck in impurities, these im-

mediately get into the DC power module and might cause short circuits. As a result, the DC

power module fails completely.

Avoid impurities in the supply air. Certain conductive impurities must not get into the system,

e.g., drilling chips from installation work.

The installation location has to offer protection against air pollution. In case of high dust pol-

lution, we recommend using filter mats in the system control cabinet door.
