2 Transport and storage

2.1 Safety notes for the transport

2.1.1 Risk of injury and death

DANGER: Danger to life from suspended loads

For crane transport, suspended installation or removal, carefully fix the system to lift-

ing gear. Only use suitable and technically faultless lifting gear and load-carrying

equipment with sufficient load-carrying capacity.

Never work underneath suspended loads. Never linger under suspended loads.

Only assign experienced skilled persons to attach loads and guide crane operators.

The person guiding the crane operator has to be visible to the crane operator or be in

voice contact with the crane operator.

WARNING: Risk of injury from the weight of the system

System falling down or tilting

The weight of the system can injure a person and cause severe bruising. To lift the

system only use lifting gear that is designed for the weight of the system.

The system and its components are very heavy. Pay attention to the weight to prevent

personal injuries.

Tilting Secure the system to prevent it from tilting. The center of gravity is marked on the outside of

the packaging.

Protective equipment Wear the protective equipment in the following situations:

– Transport

– Setup

– Mounting

– Installation

– Maintenance

WARNING: Risk of crushing from tilting, falling or vibrating of lifted or sus-

pended systems

When lifted or transported carelessly or too quickly, the system may tilt or fall.

• Always transport the system as close to the floor as possible.

• Use all load fastening points for transport.

• For lifting the system only use means of transport and lifting gear that is designed for

the weight of the system.

• Avoid fast and sudden movements during transport.

• During transport, maintain adequate safety distance to the system at all times.

Danger from installation of damaged components

Do not accept systems in packaging that is clearly damaged. Do not install and operate

damaged systems under any circumstances.
