The residual heat symbol will appear in the display of the cooking zone which is
too hot to touch. The symbol disappears when the surface has cooled down to a
safe temperature. It can also be used as an energy saving function; if you want to
heat other pans, use the cooking zone that is still hot.
If all cooking zones are set to ‘0’ and no further operation is performed, the hob will
switch off automatically after 1 minute.
Pan detection symbol
When the gray pan symbol and the power are displayed alternately.
• you have not placed a pan on the correct cooking zone;
• the pan you’re using is not suitable for induction cooking;
• the pan is too small or not properly centred on the cooking zone.
▷ The cooking zone does not work until a suitable pan is placed on the cooking zone.
Connecting bridge induction cooking zones
The bridge induction zones can be connected to each other. This creates one large zone that can
be used, for example, a grill plate or a large fish pan on the same power. The pan has to be large
enough to cover the centres of the front and rear cooking zone.
Connecting bridge induction cooking zones
The hob is switched on.
1. Place a pan in the middle of both bridge induction cooking zone.
2. Touch the bridge key.
▷ The cooking zones are connected; one large cooking zone is shown in the display.
3. Use the scroll bar to set the desired power level for the connected bridge induction cooking
zone.
▷ The cooking zone starts automatically at the level that has been set.
▷ Set a higher or lower power by selecting the cooking zone with the selection key and
using the scroll bar.
Disconnecting bridge induction cooking zones
1. Touch the bridge key.
▷ The cooking zones are no longer connected; the display shows two separate cooking
zones again.
