■ We recommend you wear a respirator with
a class P2 filter.
■ Avoid kinking the extraction hose 0.
Follow the regulations that apply in your country
regarding the materials to be worked.
♦ Plug the inlet side of the extraction hose 0
onto the extraction nozzle 3 (see Fig. A).
♦ Turn the lock9 towards the
▸ symbol.
♦ To remove the extraction hose 0, turn the
lock9 towards the ◂
symbol.
Mounting the adapter for external
extraction
♦ If necessary, attach the dust extraction adapter s
to the appropriate end of the extraction hose 0.
♦ Connect a dust extraction system.
NOTE
► When working with wood or materials that
produce dust that is hazardous to health, the
device must be connected to a suitable, tested
extraction device (e.g. in accordance with
dust class M as per EN 60335-2-69). You
can also connect a Parkside NT vacuum
cleaner.
Operating instructions
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Always remove the plug from the power
socket before working on the tool!
► Wait until the tool has come to a standstill
before putting it down.
The removal rate and the surface quality are deter-
mined by the selection of the sanding tool, the
preselected speed level and the contact pressure.
Only sanding tools that are in perfect condition
provide a good sanding performance and protect
the tool.
Sanding
■ Hold the tool firmly with both hands when
working, and ensure that you have secure
footing. The tool is guided more safely with
two hands.
♦ Connect your extraction system (internal or
external extraction).
♦ For external extraction
If possible, work with the remote switch-off or
the automatic start/stop function of the vacuum
cleaner. The vacuum cleaner switches on auto-
matically and switches off again after a time
delay in order to remove the remaining dust
from the suction hose.
♦ Switch on the tool. Place it with the entire
sanding surface on the material being worked.
Move it over the workpiece with moderate
pressure.
♦ To prolong the service life of the accessory tool,
ensure that you apply even pressure.
♦ Use of excessive pressure does not lead to a
greater removal rate, but rather to increased
wear of the accessory tool.
♦ Lift the tool off the working surface.
♦ For internal extraction
Let the power tool run for a few more seconds
to remove the remaining dust from the extraction
hose 0.
Sanding close to the edge
If you are sanding close to the edge, you can
remove a hood segment z of the protection and
extraction hood 5. This means that the accessory
tool you are using is closer to floor, wall and ceiling
edges as well as existing installations such as
pipes. The neighbouring surfaces can therefore be
processed precisely.
Expect dust to be produced during this work as the
protection and extraction hood 5 is no longer
closed off.
♦ Press the hood segment lock t, and pull the
hood segment z forwards out of the protection
and extraction hood 5 (see Fig. C).
♦ Work the surfaces close to the edge.
♦ Push the hood segment z back onto the pro-
tection and extraction hood 5 until it clicks into
place.
