o Press the push button[] on the motor
housing and tilt the telescopic shaft
[9].
There are 5positions available (see
“Working instructions”):
Cutting angle position
1 15°
2 30°
3 45°
4 60°
5 75°
o Function as a lawn trimmer:
Cutting angle position 1to4
(Rotary position 0°)
o Function as a lawn edge trimmer:
Cutting angle position 5
(Rotary position180°)

CAUTION! Risk of injury!
u Leave the handle rod[6] in the 0°
position when using the product as
a lawn trimmer in the cutting angle
positions1to4. The protective cover[]
must not be pointing away from the user.
NOTE
u The handle rod can be turned by180°
(see “Working instructions”).
o Press the lock[7] to release the lock and
rotate the handle section
0° 180°
until it
latches into the desired position.
Adjusting the spacer bow (flower
guard) (Fig.F5)
NOTE
u The spacer bow[] keeps the trimming
assembly away from plants and trunks
not to be cut.
o Fold down the distance spacer bow. If the
spacer bow is not required, fold it up into
the park position.
Extending the cutting line
(Fig.D)
NOTE
u The product is equipped with a dual line
auto-feed mechanism.
u The line extends automatically every time
the product is switched on. For proper
functioning of the automatic line extension
mechanism, the line spool
[] must have
stopped completely before you restart the
product.
u If the lines are initially longer than the
cutting diameter, they are automatically
shortened to the right length by the line
cutter
[].
u Check the nylon line regularly for
damage and make sure the cutting line
still has the length specified by the line
cutter.
o If no line ends are visible: Replace
the line spool
[] (see“Cleaning and
maintenance”).
o Setting the line length manually:
Remove the battery
[] from the product!
Lightly pull on the thread ends and press the
locking button
[] repeatedly if required,
until the thread ends protrude beyond the
line cutter.
