♦ To remove the grass catcher 8, lift the impact
guard 9 and unhook the grass catcher 8 from
the appliance. Flip the impact guard 9 back
down onto the appliance housing e.
Mulching kit (see fig. F)
Inserting the mulching kit
♦ Remove the grass catcher 8, if attached.
♦ Raise the impact guard 9.
♦ Insert the mulching kit o.
♦ Lower the impact guard 9 onto the mulching
kit o. This holds the mulching kit o in the
correct position.
Removing the mulching kit
♦ Remove the mulching kit o.
Adjusting the cutting height (see fig. G)
The appliance has 5 positions for setting the cutting
height
■ 65 mm - max. cutting height
■ 55 mm - medium cutting height
■ 45 mm - medium cutting height
■ 35 mm - low cutting height
■ 25 mm - min. cutting height
♦ Press the cutting height adjustment lever q
away from the appliance.
♦ Move the cutting height adjustment lever q
past the notch(es) to the desired cutting height
setting.
NOTE
►
The correct cutting height for an ornamental
lawn is about 25–45 mm, for a utility lawn
about 45–65 mm.
► Select a high cutting height for the first cut of
the season.
► Comply with regulations regarding noise pro-
tection and local rules.
Attaching/disconnecting the battery
pack to/from the appliance (see fig. H)
Switch the appliance off and remove
the contact key t and wait until the
blade is at a complete standstill. There
is a risk of personal injury.
Inserting the battery pack
♦ Raise the transparent cover r on the appliance
housing.
♦ To insert the battery pack p into the appliance,
push the battery pack p along the guide rail
into the appliance. It clicks audibly into place.
Removing the battery pack
♦ To remove the battery pack p, press the re-
lease button for the battery pack a and pull
the battery pack p out of the appliance.
Checking the battery charge level
♦ Press the
battery charge level button

to
check the status of the battery (see also main
diagram).
The status/remaining charge will be shown on
the battery display LED

as follows:
RED/ORANGE/GREEN = maximum charge
RED/ORANGE = medium charge
RED = low charge – charge the battery
