Do not overreach. Always keep your balance
so that you have a secure footing on slopes at
all times. Walk, do not run.
Operation
Do not switch on the appliance if it is held up-
side down or is not in the working position.
Prevent unintentional starting. Make sure that
the appliance is switched off before you pick it
up or carry it. If you have your finger on the
switch when carrying the appliance, this can
lead to accidents.
Do not point the appliance at people during
operation, especially do not point the air jet at
eyes and ears.
Make sure you have secure footing when
working, especially on slopes. Always hold the
appliance firmly with both hands and only work
with the harness correctly adjusted.
Do not stretch your body too far and be careful
not to lose your balance.
Do not use the appliance if you are tired or
unable to concentrate or after taking alcohol or
tablets. Take regular work breaks. Proceed with
caution when working. Move slowly, do not run.
Using the appliance for a long time can lead to
vibration-related circulation disorders of the
hands. You can extend the usage duration by
using appropriate gloves or by taking regular
breaks.
Avoid operating the machine in poor weather
conditions, especially if there is a risk of lightning.
Only work in daylight or good artificial lighting.
Stop the machine and remove the batteries from
the appliance. Make sure that all moving parts
have come to a complete stop:
if you will not be using the appliance, wish to
transport it or intend to leave it unattended;
before clearing a blockage or blocked
channels;
before inspection, cleaning or other work
on the machine;
after contact with foreign bodies or in the
event of abnormal vibration.
Keep the power source clean of debris and
other accumulations to prevent damage to it
or a possible fire.
Do not tilt the machine while the power source
is running.
Do not use the appliance in closed or poorly
ventilated rooms.
Do not use the appliance near flammable
liquids or gases. There is a risk of fire or
explosion if this is not observed.
In the event of an accident or malfunction during
operation, switch off the appliance immediately
and remove the batteries from the appliance. To
rectify faults, read the “Troubleshooting” section
or contact our Service Centre.
Walk at walking pace, do not run.
Make sure you do not lose your balance, and
stand securely. Do not overreach.
When feeding material, never stand at a higher
level than the level of the machine’s base.
If the machine becomes clogged, switch off the
power source and remove the batteries before
clearing it of debris.
Never operate the machine with defective safety
devices or shields or without safety devices.
Do not transport the machine while the power
source is running.
Take care not to touch any moving, dangerous
parts before the machine has been disconnected
from the mains supply or the batteries have
been removed from the machine and the mov-
ing, dangerous parts have come to a complete
standstill.
If an accident or malfunction occurs during
operation, the appliance must be switched off
immediately. Treat injuries properly or consult
a doctor.
