Maintenance and storage
Regularly check the functionality and integrity of
the appliance to avoid danger to the operator.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety
reasons. Only use original spare parts and
accessories.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself
unless you are trained to do so. All work not
specified in these instructions may only be car-
ried out by customer service centres authorised
by us.
Store the appliance in a dry place and out of
the reach of children.
Handle your appliance with care. Clean the
ventilation slots regularly and follow the
maintenance instructions.
Keep all cooling air inlets free of debris.
Do not use the appliance if the switch cannot
be switched on and off. Damaged switches
must be replaced at an authorised customer
service centre. Do not overload your appliance.
Only work within the specified power range.
Do not use low-power machines for heavy
work. Do not use your appliance for purposes
for which it is not intended.
If the machine is stopped for maintenance,
inspection, storage or to change accessories,
switch off the power source, remove the batter-
ies and ensure that all moving parts have come
to a stop. Allow the machine to cool down
before inspections, adjustments, etc.
Maintain the machine with care and keep it
clean.
Always allow the machine to cool down before
storing it.
Never attempt to bypass the locking function
of the safety guard.
Additional safety instructions
NOTE
Do not use any accessories that are not rec-
ommended by PARKSIDE. This can lead to an
electric shock or fire.
Avoid operating the machine in poor weather
conditions, especially if there is a risk of lightning.
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable
batteries.
Rechargeable batteries must be removed from
the appliance before being charged.
Do not use different types of batteries together
or mix new batteries with used batteries.
Batteries must be inserted with the correct
polarity.
Empty batteries must be removed from the
appliance and disposed of safely.
If the appliance is stored unused for a longer
period of time, the batteries should be removed.
Residual risks
Even if you operate this power tool properly, there
will still be residual risks. The following risks can
occur in relation to the power tool’s design and
structure:
Hearing damage, if no suitable hearing
protection is worn.
Damage to health resulting from hand-arm
vibrations if the appliance is used for an
extended period of time or is not properly
used and maintained.
Lung damage if suitable respiratory protec-
tion is not worn.
Eye damage if suitable eye protection is not
worn.
WARNING!
The power tool creates an electromagnetic
field during operation. Under certain circum-
stances, this field can impair active or passive
medical implants. To minimise the risk of serious
or fatal injury, users with medical implants must
consult their doctor and the manufacturer of
the medical implant before operating the
machine.
