Operation
Checking the battery charge level
♦ The LEDs of the charge level indicator i
show the battery charge status when the
batteries Y are inserted into the motor
block 1.
♦ When the device is activated using the On/Off
switch u, the LEDs may light up as follows:
– 3 LEDs light up (red, orange, green):
Battery charged
– 2 LEDs light up (red and orange):
Battery partially charged
– 1 LED lights up (red):
Battery must be charged
♦ Charge the battery Y when only the red
LED lights up.
Operating instructions
WARNING!
► Risk of injury! Work safely and carefully!
♦ Pay attention to the country-specific or munici-
pal regulations when cutting.
♦ Do not strim or cut during normal quiet hours.
♦ Solid objects such as stones, metal parts etc.
must be removed. These can be flung away and
cause personal injury or damage to property.
♦ When cutting in high bushes or hedges, main-
tain a working height of at least 15 cm. This
means that animals such as hedgehogs are not
placed in danger.
♦ Always hold the device firmly and securely with
both hands!
♦ Only cut grass and weeds! Watch out for roots
or tree stumps, as there is a risk of tripping.
♦ Work carefully and do not endanger anyone
when cutting.
♦ Only work when visibility and light conditions
are adequate!
♦ Keep an eye on the cutting head!
♦ Never cut above shoulder height!
♦ Never replace the plastic cord with a steel
wire – risk of injury and destruction!
♦ Do not work on a ladder!
♦ Only work on firm and stable surfaces!
♦ Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and
balance at all times.
♦ Change your working position at regular
intervals to prevent one-sided fatigue.
♦ If the cutting head is blocked, switch off the
device immediately, remove the batteries and
then remove the blockage.
Working with the line spool
♦ Position the device on small lawns at an angle
of approx. 30° and swivel the cutting head
evenly to the right and left in a semi-circular
motion.
♦ The best results are achieved when the grass
is no longer than 15 cm. For taller grass, we
advise carrying out several mowing passes.
♦ To mow around trees, fence posts or other
obstacles, drive slowly around the obstacle
and cut with the tips of the line.
♦ Avoid contact with solid obstacles (stones,
walls, picket fences, etc.) as the line would
otherwise wear out quickly. Use the edge of the
protective cover 0 to keep the device at the
correct distance.
ATTENTION!
► Do not place the cutting head on the ground
during operation!
Lengthening the line
CAUTION!
► Line remnants can come loose and be thrown
away. This can lead to injuries.
♦ To lengthen the line, tap the line spool d a few
times on a grassy area while the device is in
operation and the motor is running.
♦ The line is automatically extended. The line
cutter x cuts the line to the appropriate length.
