Safety instructions for biscuit joiners
■ Disc milling cutters must be designed
at least for the speed indicated on the
power tool. Disc milling cutters running
at excessive speed can y apart and
cause injuries.
■ Always use the blade guard.
A blade guard protects the user against
parts of the disc milling cutter which
have broken o and also against unin-
tentional contact with the disc.
■ Hold the power tool by the insulated
grasping surfaces, as the cutter can hit
its own power cable. Contact with a live
wire may make exposed metal parts of
the power tool live and could give the
operator an electric shock.
■ Always wear a dust mask when using
the appliance!
■ Do not use blunt or damaged disc
milling cutters!
■ Check that the blade guard return system
works correctly before every use!
WARNING!
■ To avoid potential risks, a damaged
power cord should be replaced by the
manufacturer or the manufacturer’s
customer service department or a
similarly qualied person.
WARNING! Always wear safety
goggles.
WARNING! Always wear a dust
mask.

Installing the dust extraction system
Dust from materials such as lead-based

as oak or beech dust are considered car-
cinogenic, especially in combination with
wood treatment additives (chromate, wood
preservatives). Materials containing asbes-
tos may only be worked on by specialists.
■ Always use dust extraction.
■ Ensure that your workplace is adequately
ventilated.
■ We recommend you wear a respirator
with a class P2 lter.
Follow the regulations that apply in your
country regarding the materials to be
worked.
