Changing the grinding and
buffing wheel

WARNING!
u The grinding wheel[] or buffing
wheel[2] to be replaced must not be
larger than the specified diameter and
width.
u Replace the grinding wheel[] if its outer
diameter is less than 50mm.
NOTE
u To change the grinding wheel[] or
buffing wheel[2], accessory tools
(adjustable wrench and Torx screwdriver)
are required, which are not included in
the scope of delivery.
Changing the buffing wheel
(Fig.E)
NOTE
u It is not necessary to tighten the clamp
nut[] and the spindle adaptor [] much.
The rotary motor of the product will
continue to tighten them during operation.
1. Loosen the 3mounting screws[] with a
Torx screwdriver.
2. Remove the plastic cover[] from the
plastic safety guard[].
3. Loosen the spindle adaptor[].
4. Loosen the clamping nut[] with an
adjustable wrench in directiona. Hold the
buffing wheel[2] with the other hand while
doing so.
5. Unscrew the clamping nut[] until it is
removed from the spindle[].
6. Remove the outer flange[].
7. Remove the worn buffing wheel[2] from the
spindle[].
8. Place the new buffing wheel[2] back on
the spindle[]. Push the buffing wheel
completely into the plastic safety guard[]
until it touches the inner flange[].
9. Place the outer flange[] back on the
spindle[] so that it rests against the
buffing wheel[2].
10. Screw the clamp nut[] onto the
spindle[] until it touches the outer
flange[].
11. Slightly tighten the clamp nut[] with an
adjustable wrench in directionb. Hold the
buffing wheel[2] with the other hand while
doing so.
12. Screw in the spindle adaptor[] until it rests
against the clamp nut[].
13. Place the plastic cover[] on the plastic
safety guard[].
14. Fasten the mounting screw[] to the plastic
safety guard[] using a Torx screwdriver.

NOTE
u It is not necessary to tighten the clamp
nut [] much. The rotary motor of the
product will continue to tighten it during
operation.
1. Hold the nut on the other side of the metal
safety guard[] with an adjustable wrench
to prevent it from turning when loosening.
2. Loosen the 3connection bolts[] with a
Torx screwdriver in directionc.
3. Remove the metal cover[] and metal
safety guard[].
4. Loosen the clamp nut[] with an adjustable
wrench in directione. Hold the grinding
wheel[] with the other hand while doing
so.
5. Unscrew the clamp nut[] until it is
separated from the spindle[].
6. Remove the outer flange[].
7. Remove the worn grinding wheel[] from
the spindle[].
