8. Place the new grinding wheel[] back on
the spindle[]. Push the grinding wheel
until it touches the inner flange[].
9. Place the outer flange[] back onto the
spindle[] until it rests against the grinding
wheel[].
10. Screw the clamp nut[] onto the
spindle[] until it rests against the outer
flange[].
11. Slightly tighten the clamp nut[] with an
adjustable wrench in directionf. Hold the
grinding wheel[] with the other hand
while doing so.
12. Attach the metal cover [] and the metal
safety guard [] back onto the body.
13. Use a Torx screwdriver to fasten the
3connection bolts [] to the body with
nuts.
Using the work arbor for cutting discs
1. Use the screwdriver side of the combination
spanner[] to loosen and tighten the screw
of the work arbor for cutting discs[].
2. Insert the work arbor for cutting discs[]
into the flexible shaft[5].
3. Use the combination spanner[] to loosen
the screw of the work arbor for cutting
discs[].
4. Place the required cutting disc[]/[]
between the two washers on the screw of
the work arbor for cutting discs[].
5. Use the combination spanner[] to tighten
the screw of the work arbor for cutting
discs[].
Using the work arbor for polishing felt
1. Turn the tip of the work arbor for polishing
felts[] clockwise into the respective hole
of the polishing felts[]/[].
2. Insert the work arbor for polishing felts[]
into the flexible shaft[5].
Using the work arbor for abrasive belt
1. Insert the desired abrasive belt[]/[]
completely onto the respective work arbor
for abrasive belts[]/[].
2. Fixing the abrasive belts: Use the
combination spanner[] to tighten the
screw of the work arbor for abrasive
belts[]/[].
3. Insert the work arbor for abrasive belts[]/
[] into the flexible shaft[5].
NOTE
Working with materials/accessory
tools/speed range:
u Never use the product for other purposes
and only use original parts/accessories.
Using attachments or accessory tools
other than those recommended in the user
manual can lead to a risk of injury.
u Determine the rotational speed range for
working on zinc, zinc alloys, aluminium
and copper by trying it out on test pieces.
u Use a low rotational speed for work on
plastics and materials with a low melting
point.
u Use a high rotational speed for working
on wood.
u Carry out cleaning, polishing and buffing
work in the medium speed range.
u Do not exceed the allowable diameter for
the following insert tools:
Composite grinding tools:
max. Ø55mm
Mounted points: max. Ø55mm
Mounted points with threaded insert:
max. Ø55mm
Sandpaper accessories: max. Ø80mm
Grinding accessories: max. Ø80mm
u The max. permissible length of a mandrel
is 33mm.
u If you exert too much pressure, the fitted
accessory tool can break and/or the
workpiece could be damaged. You will
achieve optimum working results by
moving the product over the workpiece at
a steady speed and while exerting light
pressure.
