WARNING!
u The product must always be stable
and secured. For additional safety, the
product can be fastened to a suitable
location, e.g. a workbench. There are
4mounting holes[] (Fig.J) which
can be used to secure the product to
a safe and flat surface with bolts and
nuts or screws (not included in scope of
delivery).
u Make sure that the grinding wheel[]
and the buffing wheel[2] can rotate
freely without jamming. Always check
that the direction of rotation corresponds
to the arrow marking on the metal
safety guard[] and the plastic safety
guard[].
u The transparent screen[], the spark
arrestor[] and the work rest[] must be
correctly installed and adjusted.
u If the product suddenly stops or jams, it
must be switched off immediately and the
mains plug[]must be removed.
NOTE
u Always place the workpiece on the work
rest[] for grinding or polishing work.
u Slowly guide the workpiece at the desired
angle towards the grinding wheel[] or
the buffing wheel[2] until they touch.
u Move the workpiece evenly back and
forth, to the left and right to achieve
an optimum result. This will cause the
grinding and buffing wheels to wear
more evenly.
u When grinding and polishing, always
apply only as much pressure and feed
rate to the workpiece as is necessary.
NOTE
u Excessive pressure and feed speed will
cause the grinding wheel to spark and
reach high temperatures, which can
damage the grinding and buffing wheels
and cause them to break. This can lead to
serious injuries.
u The working pressure and feed rate
depend on the type of materials to
be ground or polished and should be
selected by feel.
u The choice of grinding or polishing speed
depends on the type of material to be
processed. Always start with the lowest
speed and increase it until optimum work
quality is achieved.
u The workpiece may heat up during
grinding or polishing. Allow it to cool
in a well-ventilated area or place it in a
water bath. Dry the workpiece thoroughly
before resuming work.
