Attaching sanding sheets with hook-
and-loop fastener
♦ You can attach the sanding sheet 3
to the sanding pad 8 using the hook-
and-loop fastener (see Fig. A on the
fold-out page).
♦ Ensure that the extraction holes on the
sanding sheet 3 match up with those
on the sanding pad 8. Use the sanding
sheet alignment tool 9 as shown in
Fig. A on the fold-out page.
♦ Alternatively, it is even easier to attach
the sanding sheets with the positioning
aid 4 because it is no longer necessary
to align them with the extraction holes.
♦ Place up to 10 sanding sheets in the
positioning aid 4. The hook-and-loop
side of the sanding sheets must face
upwards.
♦ Simply place the sanding pad 8 from
above onto the rst sanding sheet 3 in
the positioning aid 4, and press it down
lightly. The sanding sheet 3 immediately
adheres to the sanding pad 8 in the
correct position thanks to the hook-and-
loop fastening.
ATTENTION
► The positioning aid 4 must be removed
before operating the tool.

♦ Simply pull the sanding sheet3 o the
sanding pad8.
Dust extraction
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
► There is a risk of re when working with
power tools that are tted with a dust
collection box or can be connected to a
vacuum cleaner via the dust extraction
device! In unfavourable conditions, e.g.
when sparks are ying while sanding
metal or metal residues in wood, wood
dust in the dust sack (or in the vacuum
cleaner dust bag) can spontaneously
ignite. This is a particular risk if the
wood dust is mixed with paint residues
or other chemicals and the workpiece
has become hot after being worked for
a long time. Therefore, do not allow the
workpiece and appliance to overheat,
and always empty the dust collection
box or the dust bag in the vacuum
cleaner before taking a break from work.
Wear a dust mask!
NOTE
► Perforated sanding sheets are required
for dust extraction.
Dust box
Connection
♦ Slide the dust box 7 onto the appliance.
Turn the dust box 7 until the

on the appliance points to the symbol
on the dust box to lock it (see detailed
illustration on the fold-out page).
Removal
♦ Turn the dust box 7 towards the
symbol. Then pull the dust box 7
o the appliance.
NOTE
► To ensure optimum dust extraction,
empty the dust box 7 regularly.
♦ To do this, remove the dust box 7 from
the appliance as described above. Clean
the dust box 7 thoroughly by knocking
out the dust.
