Before use
Charging the battery pack
WARNING!
► Do not use any accessories that are not
recommended by PARKSIDE. This can
lead to an electric shock and re!
CAUTION!
► Always disconnect the power plug
before removing a battery from the
charger or inserting a battery into the
charger.
WARNING!
► Observe the safety instructions and the
instructions on charging and correct use
given in the operating instructions for
your series battery and charger.

process and further information can
be found in these separate operating
instructions.
NOTE
► Ideally, charge the battery completely
before use. You can charge the lithi-
um-ion battery at any time without short-
ening its service life. Interrupting the
charging process does not damage the
battery.
► Never charge the battery if the ambient
temperature is below 10°C or above
40°C. If a lithium-ion battery is to be
stored for an extended period, the charge
level should be checked regularly. The
optimum charge level is between 50%
and 80%. The storage climate should be
cool and dry, and the ambient tempera-
ture should be between 0°C and 50°C.
► The recommended ambient temperature
range for using tools and batteries is
between –5°C and 50°C. If necessary,
remove the battery from the appliance.
♦ Insert the battery pack 0 into the
charger q.
♦ Plug the plug into the power outlet.
♦ When charging is complete, disconnect
the charger q from the mains.
♦ Remove the battery pack 0 from the
charger q.
♦ Switch o the charger for at least
15 minutes between successive charging
sessions. Also disconnect the mains
plug.

♦ Allow the battery pack 0 to click into
the appliance.

♦ Press the release button1 and remove
the battery pack0.
Selecting a sanding sheet

The material removal rate and surface
quality are determined by the grain of the
sanding sheet 3.
♦ Please note that you need to use sanding
sheets with dierent grains for working
dierent materials.

► Before any work on the appliance,
remove the battery.
NOTE
► Before tting a new sanding sheet,
remove any dust and dirt from the
sanding pad 8.
