8.2. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF THE FILTERS
WASHABLE AND REACTIVATABLE ACTIVE HIGH EFFICIENCY CARBON FILTERS (FCLR AE)
(Optional depending on version, for hoods in filter mode)
CLEANING AND REACTIVATING THE FCLR FILTER:
Wash the FCLR AE carbon filter in a dishwasher at the maximum temperature by using common detergent;
minimum temperature 65°C and maximum temperature 70°C. We recommend washing the filter alone,
without any other utensils, so as to avoid bad smells caused by the filter remains affecting other kitchen
utensils, when clean, leave to dry in the dishwasher or in the air.
In normal use of the hood, after successive regeneration cycles, the FCLR AE carbon filter tends to
have less capacity to absorb smells. It is recommended to change the filter every 10 cycles of
reactivated, 900 hours of use or 2.5 years (average daily use 1h).
The life time reported is completely indicative, since the behaviour of the filter is influenced by
many factors such as:
• The types of contaminants to which the filter is exposed and its c o n c e n t r a t i o n ;
• The period of exposure;
• The speed and range of operation of the hood.
These can alter the behaviour of the filter even after regeneration significantly, see graph.
For regular use of the hood, it is recommended
remove the FCLR AE filters, wash them and
reactivate them, approximately every 90 hours or
3 months of use (Average daily use 1h)
* According to version, “backpack type”:
Detach the FCLR carbon filter from the grease
filter by pressing on the two tabs on the frame
of the carbon filter and dethatch it at the same
time as the grease filter.

standard, see manual flat FCA.)
Reactivate the carbon filter
