Testing using CertSuite PAT
5. Testing using CertSuite PAT
CertSuite PAT performs two functions:
it will launch automatic tests from the mobile device using pre-loaded or user customised test groups.
it records the results of the testing. In this mode, tests cannot be launched from the PAT250SX function buttons.
The PAT250SX must be connected to a Bluetooth
®
enabled mobile device that has CertSuite PAT installed.

The basic procedure is as follows:
Power on
Press the power button for 0.5s to switch the PAT250SX on.
After the self test the unit will show the default screen
Enter Setup
Press the setup button [
] to enter setup mode on the
PAT250SX. The test icons and OFF will flash. The PAT250SX
will show a unique number (in this example “8806”) and the
default will show bluetooth off BT off.
NOTE : In the PAT250SX setup mode, the field that can be
altered is the one that is flashing.
Activate Bluetooth On/Off - Press setup button [ ]
Pressing the setup button a second time will activate the
bluetooth on/off function. Bluetooth will be on indicated by
the ON flashing. The PAT250SX is searching for a CertSuite to
connect to
NOTE : you can exit the setup mode at any time by
pressing the red button.
