4. HOW TO USE THE CABLE HOOK (SEE FIG. C)
WARNING: Ensure the product is disconnected from the mains power supply before
attempting any adjustment.
Double the power cable about 3cm from the end. Lead the loop through the hole on the back of the chain
saw rear handle and hook the loop over the cable hook. Gently pull on the power cable to ensure that it
is rmly attached.

1. THE CHAIN BRAKE (SEE FIG. D)
The manual chain brake is a safety mechanism activated through the front hand guard when kickback
occurs. The chain will stop within a fraction of a second. (See Fig. D1)
Engaging the chain brake:
To engage the chain brake manually, simply push the hand guard forward (arrow A). (See Fig. D2)
Disengaging the chain brake:
Pull the hand guard backwards (arrow B) until you feel it catch. The brake is now disengaged. (See Fig. D2)
WARNING: ALWAYS engage the chain brake when not in use.
WARNING: ALWAYS disengage the chain brake before starting the work!

2. SWITCHING ON AND OFF (SEE FIG. E)
1) Take the guide bar cover o. Place the chain saw on a at place.
2) Connect the power plug to the mains socket.
3) The chain break is in the engaged position before use, pull the hand guard backwards to release the
chain break. (See Fig. D2)
4) Press the lock-o button, then fully press the on/o switch and hold in this position. The lock-o button
can now be released. (See Fig. E)
5) For switching o, release the on/o switch, or push the hand guard forward to engage it.
WARNING: Always wear safety goggles, ear protection, protective gloves and heavy-duty
work clothes!
WARNING: After switching on, the chain saw will run immediately at high speed.
After working with the chain saw, you should always: Clean the saw chain and guide bar and replace the
guide bar cover.
