Extract the audio from an AV source
To extract audio from an AV source, pass the video signal to a monitor or
beamer and route the sound separately to an audio system:
1. Place the Connect AE34 near the TV.
2. Connect the output source (figure 5, pos. 1) to the HDMI INPUT port via an
HDMI cable.
3. Connect a TV (figure 5, pos. 6) to the OUTPUT 1 (eARC to TV)
port with an HDMI cable.
4. Connect an amplifier or other audio device (figure 5, pos. 2) to the
OUTPUT 3 (audio only) port via an HDMI cable.
5. Optional: connect an amplifer or other audio device (figure 5, pos. 5) to
the OPTICAL port with an optical fiber cable.
6. Optional: connect an amplifier or other audio device (figure 5, pos. 4) to
the L/R port with a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack cable.
7. Optional: connect a soundbar (figure 5, pos. 7) to the OUTPUT 2 (eARC)
port via an HDMI cable.
8. Connect the power adapter (figure 5, pos. 3) to the DC 5V port.
9. Insert the electric plug.
10. Disable the eARC mode by pressing the eARC button.
